EPA to Co-Host the Great Basin / Mojave Desert Climate Change Workshop on April 20-22, 2010 at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas
EPA, in collaboration with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, the U.S. Geological Survey, the National Park Service, and several other agencies and organizations, are sponsoring the Great Basin / Mojave Desert Climate Change Workshop, focusing on natural resource research, adaptation, and mitigation needs. The workshop will be held from April 20-22, 2010 at the University of Nevada-Las Vegas. It will examine how climate change is affecting natural resources in deserts of the western U.S. and identify essential research needs to address in the coming decade. The workshop offers a valuable opportunity for scientists and natural resource managers to gather for a discussion of their information needs and opportunities.
